The team formed by Paul Judge and Pim Surintarangoul, representing Thailand, has finished as the winner of the 2018 World Final in Oitavos, in Cascais, the 25th Anniversary edition.
Judge and Surintarangoul who took participation for their company Prime Real Estate Phuket and WCGC Thailand, came back in the last day to get ahead of Portugal, second classified with two points of sets, 145-143.
Paul Judge part of Thailand winning team said, ‘This has been a truly unbelievable experience, we never thought after being eight shots behind after day one we would be WCGC Champions, Chris Watson our licensee jokingly this morning go out there and get 80 points and we might win it’. Paul went on to say ‘ Firstly I have to thank my playing partner Pim who was unbelievable all weekend. I also have to thank Fore Management and Chris Watson the Thailand Licensee for giving this opportunity to attend such an amazing event, also Blue Horizon Developments Thailand’s title sponsor and Thai Airways for flying us here all the way from Thailand.
The ‘Road to Cascais’ is the result of more than 120 events throughout 30+ countries. The World Final saw a total of 26 teams (52 golfers) battle it out for a chance to represent their companies and countries at Portugal’s No. 1 golf course: the Oitavos Dunes in Cascais.

It’s been 25 years since The Times newspaper, in 1993, started the WCGC as a platform for ‘bringing the world of business together’ in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere using Golf as the mean. First in the UK and years later, countries like India, Portugal, China, Spain, Poland and Turkey, among others, were participating, offering local executives from various economic sectors a platform to network. 26 countries participated at the 2018 World Final in Cascais, Portugal. 150 national qualifying events have been organized under the auspices of the WCGC that attract over 7,500 business executives, annually.
