OPET WCGC Turkey 2016 was organized by Matrix Travel between May 20th – 22 th 2016 in Turkish Golf Riviera, Belek.
Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort was the venue of the event. The two day tournament played on Carya and National Golf Courses.
Bony Socks company, represented by Xiaowei Gong and Fikret Öztürk was winner of OPET World Corporate Golf Challenge Turkey 2016 Final. The team succeded picking 153 points in two days.
Otokar 3 Team represented by Caner Tuna and Erol İslamoğlu was runner up with 145 total points. Hüseyin Demirağ and Richard Özatacan from Otokar 1 Team were placed third row with 130 total points.
Bony Socks will represent Turkey at the WCGC World Final, which will be held on Cascais Portugal between 21st June – 26th June.
Damat & Tween which is one of the prestigious textile company of Turkey, has been sponsoring the uniform of the WCGC Turkey for last two years. All players were very picturesque with Damat & Tween polo t-shirts.
As the Main Media Sponsor of tournament, Bloomberg HT recorded the tournament and published news from the courses and the journalists executed interviews as well. The press sponsors of the tournament were Türkiye’de ve Dünyada Golf and Golf Dünyası Magazine, which followed up the tournament over two days.
The another excitement of the tournament was Hole in One award. Seiko Turkey sponsored the Hole in One Challenge with a Seiko Astron watch. Unfortunately the watch will await to find its owner in the following tournaments.
Yavuz Üngör, who is the Managing Director of the organizing company Matrix Travel, stated his pleasure from the accomplishment of fourth year of tournament in Turkey. Mr. Üngör expressed his thanks all support of sponsorship companies and also participants at the OPET WCGC Turkey 2016 Final.
