The World Corporate Golf Challenge is delighted to announce that Kinloch Anderson, foremost experts in tartan and Highland Dress will once again be sponsoring this year’s World Final in Sotogrande, Spain from the 1st – 6th July 2014, at the Almenara Hotel and Golf Resort and at La Reserva Club de Golf.
Kinloch Anderson is a family company founded in Edinburgh in 1868, renowned for kilt making, tartan trousers and the finest Scottish clothing. They bring you the very best of Scotland and hope you will enjoy the many years of tradition and experience which lie behind their products. They are proud of their reputation for quality and hold three Royal Warrants of Appointment as Tailors and Kiltmakers to HM The Queen, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh and HRH The Prince of Wales.
The WCGC tartan, a great success
The sponsorship will follow last year’s design and making of the official WCGC tartan that was registered by The Scottish Register of Tartans. The Official WCGC Tartan will again be on show during the week- long event where it will be worn by the WCGC officials. To allow for the change in weather from last year, this year’s tartan will be made to suit the southern Spanish climate and will be made from a premium lightweight fabric.
Deirdre Kinloch Anderson OBE said “We hold the World Corporate Golf Challenge Organisation in high esteem. When the event itself was held in Scotland last year the WCGC tartan underlined the link between golf and tartan. The WCGC tartan trousers were a great success and we look forward to giving Kinloch Anderson’s support and participation in the event again this year.”
Harry Lloyd, Event Director for the WCGC said, “We are delighted to have Kinloch Anderson sponsoring the 2014 World Final in Sotogrande. To be associated, for a second year running, with such an iconic family company is wonderful. The national dress of Scotland is recognised all around the world, and both golf and Scotland go hand in hand. To have our own official tartan designed for us, to commemorate our 20th Anniversary last year, was very special and we look forward to continuing this association and relationship with Kinloch Anderson, for many years to come.”
