The first qualifying stage for WCGC Paraguay was held last Saturday, November 16, 2019, at the Paraná Country Club Golf Course in Hernandarias (Paraguay).
The WCGC Paraguay National Event is a tournament that is played in pairs and is aimed at executive golfers and businessmen. In this first stage, more than 80 players participated and 20 teams qualified, who played in the Stableford mode. The team with the highest score was the representative of the Yacht & Golf Club, Chena-Morinigo, who scored 65 points.
The winner of the Paraguay Qualifier will receive the prize to participate in the WCGC World Final in Cascais, Portugal. They will also receive as a prize a package for both that covers all travel expenses, accommodation and right of participation in the World Cup Gala Dinner.
This important tournament is added to the events that are being generated to enrich the sports tourism destination of Ciudad del Este.
The next qualifying stage will be held in Asunción, with no date, no club confirmed yet. The WCGC Paraguay National Final will be held at the Paraná Country Club Golf Course on April 25 and 26, 2020.
This is the third participation of the Paraguay team in the World Corporate Golf Challenge.
