World Final 2013

The Netherlands, Nijmegen, Groesbeek – On Thursday, June 20, 2013 in Groesbeek for the third time the Charity Golf Tournament for Ronald McDonald House Charity Nijmegen was held. In 2011 the tournament was held for the first time on the golf course “Het Rijk van Nijmegen”.

Participants in the Golf Tournament are entrepreneurs from the Nijmegen region. At the 2013 edition 88 golfers competed. The Golf Tournament includes traditionally an auction at the end of the day, where a large number of sponsored items are auctioned for charity.

The Golf Tournament raises a considerable amount each year for the Ronald McDonald House Nijmegen. This year’s proceeds amounted to 45,750 euros, again an amount higher than the year before.

About the golf course “Het Rijk van Nijmegen”

During the annual Golf Tournament 18 of the 45 holes on the Golf Course “Het Rijk van Nijmegen” are being played. The golf course is surrounded with beautiful old trees avenues, challenging waste areas, different heights, open, gently sloping terrain and surprising blind holes. More than 75 strategically placed bunkers are a sporting challenge.

About Ronald McDonald House Nijmegen

Ronald McDonald House Nijmegen is one of the 15 Ronald McDonald House Charities in the Netherlands where families of sick children can stay when the children are in a hospital or nursing home. Thanks to Ronald McDonald House Nijmegen parents are always within a few minutes from their child in the UMC St Radboud Hospital. At the Ronald McDonald House the parents can find a pleasant place to stay and unwind.
