As preparations for the 2020 edition of World Corporate Golf Challenge gathers momentum, WCGC Franchise holder in Nigeria, Falcon Golf Development Company has taken the country’s finals to the nation’s capital in Abuja.
The competition will take place between 2nd -4th of October at the highbrow IBB International Golf & Country Club.
Over 50 teams are expected to participate in the Abuja event. The winning team from the event will join others from over 40-other countries for the World Final in Cascais in Portugal in November. Since the tournament’s inception, 27 years ago, more than 1,000,000 golfers have participated in regional and global competitions.
Local WCGC tournaments take place in more than 30 countries on five continents and attract more than 15,000 players every year.
The winning team represents their country and its company at the world finals in Cascais, Portugal, between 11-15 November. During the event, which will last for several days, players will have the opportunity to meet the world’s WCGC ambassadors, take part in the gala and other accompanying events, train their skills under the eye of celebrities, as well as visit the picturesque Cascais and its surroundings.
It is very appropriate that the return of the WCGC back to Nigeria in 2020 is happening or would be happening just as we celebrate Nigeria’s independence on October 1. Companies will battle it out from October 2-4, 2020.
