The 2017 World Final will give finalists from over 30 countries a fantastic opportunity to represent their company and country at Oitavos Dunes, one of the world’s top 100 golf courses, and second best in mainland Europe. Running alongside the World Final Tournament, Quinta da Marinha Golf Course, designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones, will host competitions for Licensees, Guests, Sponsors and Media in attendance.

The Host Venues

OitavosOitavos Dunes Golf Club is a stunning natural links golf course built into the natural surroundings with the utmost environmental sensitivity. The most respected golf course ranking in the world is published biannually by Golf Magazine. Last September 2013 Oitavos Dunes jumped 3 places up the list to be considered the 65th best course in the world and the second best in mainland Europe. In September 2015 it jumped another 7 places to 58th in the world.

The golf course lies within the beautiful Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. It is set amongst pine woods and reforested dunes in an area of outstanding beauty. It is also located by the sea and you can enjoy ocean views at all times and Cabo da Roca, the most western point in continental Europe, can be seen from a number of holes. Oitavos Dunes Golf Course has been carefully crafted with a well thought layout and fits perfectly into its surroundings.

The 2017 World Final will also showcase another spectacular golf course in the Cascais area. While the World Final will take place on the Oitavos Dunes Golf Course, Licensees, Guests, Sponsors and Media will have the privilege of playing at Quinta da Marinha Golf Course.

Quinta da MarinhaQuinta da Marinha Golf Course is an 18 hole golf course of pure nature and big challenges. This par 71, designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones, offers fantastic views over the Atlantic Ocean and the Sintra Mountains.

On this course you can really see the style of Robert Trent Jones, with elevated Greens & Tees, many bunkers in play and, as expected, water hazards. Every hole is different, and you really have to use all the clubs in your bag to make a good score.

Some of the memorable holes on the course are:
Hole 3, Par 4, it is one of the most famous holes of the Portuguese Golf, with view to the Atlantic Ocean, its picture was used for many years to promote “Golf in Portugal” abroad.
Hole 4, Par 3, played over a natural ravine to quite a demanding Green.
Hole 13, Par 3, you play over a big lake to an elevated green well protected with 4 bunkers.
Hole 18, a beautiful Par 5, with two lakes, all shots have to be well thought out to make sure you are not penalised by the water.
