The origin of Nicola’s cafés goes back to 1779, to one of the most emblematic establishments in Lisbon: the Café Restaurant Nicola. This establishment was a meeting place for writers and politicians and the most famous gatherings in Lisbon.
From the beginning, the Café Restaurant Nicola had its own batch of coffee, coming from Brazil and São Tomé and Príncipe and sold under the name of Nicola. The conquest of the market, the birth of new habits and demands concerning coffee, made it necessary to control all the production stages, so the Brand started to commercialize.
Today, Nicola is present in the mass market channels (large scale distribution) and the foodservice channels (restaurants, hotels and offices).
