Chester Williams: WCGC Sports Legend dies aged 49

WCGC wants to show its condolences after the sudden death of Chester Williams. Williams is an iconic figure in the World of Sports, and has been part of the WCGC family as a participant of the 2018 Sports Legends Cup.

He played as a winger for the South Africa national rugby union team (Springboks) from 1993 to 2000, most notably for the team which won the 1995 Rugby World Cup, hosted in South Africa. The only non-white player in the team, Williams scored four tries in the quarter-final of the competition and also appeared in the semi-final and final.

Deepest sympathies go out to all his many friends and above all his family.
