The alterations to take place in 2022 are those regarding Real Estate Purchases and Capital Transfers.
As of January 2022, those who wish to purchase residential properties in the Algarve, Lisbon and Oporto will not be able to do so, as the investment will be directed to low-density areas in Portugal. Algarve, Lisbon and Oporto are categorized as high-density areas, as well a few coastal areas such as Setúbal and the Silver Coast (Coastline that goes from Lisbon to Figueira da Foz).
